Michael Korvac first appeared in Giant-Size Defenders #3 (January 1975) as a villain originating from an alternate future of Earth-691.
Born in the 31st century, Korvac was a computer technician who was punished by the Badoon for falling asleep at his post. They transformed him into a cyborg.
Eventually, Korvac gained cosmic awareness and vast power, becoming a threat to the entire universe. He sought to reshape reality according to his own vision.
